Dallas Red Foundation
The Dallas Red Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on providing financial support to organizations in the North Texas area that educate, communicate and provide services to our communities and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
Founded in 2009, The Dallas Red Foundation has provided over $500,000 in grants to local organizations that support our community in a variety of different ways.After all these years, the mission remains the same: provide financial support for organizations that serve those affected by HIV/AIDS in the North Texas area while promoting awareness and education to our community and beyond.
THE PURPOSE OF OUR WORKHere are a few examples of services supported by The Dallas Red Foundation:
Counseling Services Mental health therapy through individual, couples, family and group counseling sessions 24-hour emergency on-call services for individuals dealing with suicide and crisis situations Minority outreach counseling Women s programs, including the nation s largest conference for women living with HIV
Substance Abuse Programs Substance Abuse Programs that provide intensive/supportive outpatient programs and ongoing relapse prevention services for HIV-positive individuals struggling with alcoholism and other chemical dependencies
Hospice The Founders Cottage is a licensed, seven-room special-care facility for people living with AIDS in critical stages of their illness who require 24-hour supervised care
Housing Programs Providing apartments to individuals living with HIV/AIDS who are unable to financially afford housing on their own
Other Services As part of a comprehensive approach to treatment, education and prevention of HIV, the Dallas Red Foundation supports AIDS Service Organizations(ASO s) who provide dental care, nutrition programming, health insurance premium assistance and support groups designed to empower community members living with HIV/AIDS. These ASO s also provide comprehensive Prevention Programs which provides HIV testing and STD testing and treatment, counseling and outreach to at-risk communities.
